Our Story

Over the past 30 years, we have evolved from a team of two to a family of eight, expanding our event portfolio along the way. Our journey as Professional Conference Organisers (PCO) began with a simple dream: to create unforgettable and meaningful experiences. Today, we specialize in developing congresses and tailor-made conferences for scientific societies, associations, and international organizations. 

Since 2019 Downtown Europe belongs to Europa Group. The group is providing support to scientific and medical communities with physical and digital events, education, publishing, community management & large meetings. Europa Group counts +600 staff across 2 continents, all committed to help professionals bringing their communities together. 

Our aim is to develop unique conference and congress experiences creating value for the community  driving the change towards innovation, sustainability and inclusivity. We do it by offering innovative, high-quality, efficient and financially sustainable conference and congress management solutions for our clients who seek for a reliable partner who is putting their needs at the centre.

The Team

Benoît Dubuisson

Managing Director

Benoît is a dynamic and passionate event expert with a Hospitality Management background. Before joining Downtown Europe, he held several management positions in the meetings and hospitality industry. Benoît is undoubtedly the person capable of developing your events, your congresses, your conferences to exceed your objectives.  Benoît is fluent in English, French, and Dutch. 

Audrey Krzemien

Head of Operations

Audrey boasts over 10 years of experience in Event Management & Operations. She has held several senior operational roles within Event Tech, PCO & Institutional Communication companies. She leads the project team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, on resources. Fluent in French, English, and Spanish, Audrey is a valuable asset to the team.

Anna-Lisa Mocciolella

Head of Business Development

Anna-Lisa has a strong expertise with the  management of complex events for European institutions. Her focus is on Business Development & Account Management. She excels in leading and coordinating bids & proposals. Anna-Lisa boasts a client-centred approach, with strong organisational skills. She speaks French, English, Spanish, and Italian.

Elena Ciudad
Event Project Manager

Elena first studied  in Spain, and her interest for the European Union brought her to Brussels to do a Master degree in international relations. Passionate about events, she has built her experience organizing international congresses. Committed and meticulous, she will take care of all aspects of your event from A to Z. She is fluent in Spanish, French and English.

Chloé Drèze
Event Project Manager

Chloé studied event management and got passionate about the job since the start. She has the sound management of any pre-and post-event tasks. She can face any unforeseen circumstances with ease and wisdom. Reliable and dedicated, she will go hand in hand with you through all steps from registrations to event evaluation in close contact with your event partners and attendees. She speaks French, English and Dutch.

Rémi Gonda
Event Project Assistant

Rémi joined Downtown Europe after finishing his bachelor's degree in Tourism Management. He adapts quickly and meticulously completes all the tasks entrusted to him. Passionate about technology and digital transition, he is on the lookout for the best digital innovations in order to perfectly manage the digital aspects of your event and meet your expectations. He speaks French, English, Dutch and Spanish.

Marie Rouyet
Event Project Assistant

Marie graduated with a master degree in Business Management. What she loves the most about event management is getting out of the routine. She will pay attention to every details of your event, from the biggest to the smallest. Musician and passionate about travel, she loves to discover various cultural specialties! She speaks French, English and Spanish.

Carlos Capella

Graphic Designer

Carlos first trained in graphic design from  the Higher School of Professional Drawing in Madrid (ESDIP).  He then studied at the School of Arts of San Telmo in Malaga, taking the course of Decoration Projects and Direction of Works. Subsequently, he also pursued advanced studies in Advertising Graphics at the same school. Carlos offer a highly creative vision of your project visuals.

Matthias Masini
Event Project Coordinator

With a keen analytical mind and a curious spirit, Matthias brings a wealth of experience in project coordination and management. He has honed his skills across various organizations and associations, demonstrating a strong ability to drive projects forward, find innovative solutions, and communicate effectively. Matthias is  committed to making a positive impact. His approach to work combines thorough analysis with a passion for collaborative success.
